It is also known as top level or high blood pressure. Let’s understand systolic blood pressure. We all know that our heart squeezes and pushes blood via arteries while beating, and supply to the entire body. This pressure of blood on our blood vessels is known as systolic blood pressure. The ideal blood pressure needs to be 120. Exceeding this number can be an alarming situation, which may point to some issue in your body. But, don’t worry! It can be reversed through some changes in respect to diet and lifestyle.

Diastolic Blood Pressure (Lower Blood Pressure):

It is the second parameter to read blood pressure. It is also known as lower blood pressure or bottom blood pressure.  Diastolic blood pressure represents the pressure of blood when your heart rests between the beats. During this time, our heart gathers blood to provide us with the required oxygen. Want to know the normal diastolic blood pressure? Well! The normal number of bottom blood (lower blood pressure) pressure is 80.
The ideal combination of high/low blood pressure should be 120/80.

Here are the common symptoms of high blood pressure:

Frequent Headache and Nose bleeding:

Nose bleeding or continuous headache in any patient is most common symptom of high blood pressure. But, headache is not always caused by high blood pressure, as there may be any other reasons for it too. So, do not get frightened if you ever get headache for more than a day. The best way is to get yourself examined.

Dizziness or Nausea:

Feeling of nausea and dizziness for more than a day is a sign of elevated blood pressure. Hence, instead of ignoring it, it is better to immediately consult a doctor.

Redness on Face:

If you notice your face flushing or getting red without any known reason, then it can point to high blood pressure. However, it may happen due to excessive wind in your geographic location, due to eating spicy food or sun rays. Prevention is always better than cure. Increased or Missing Heart Beat:

If you find your heart beat is missing or running faster abruptly, then you should consult your doctor immediately. Ignoring this high blood pressure symptom can be life threatening. 

Ayurveda Treatment of High Blood Pressure

Honey and Apple Cider:

Add 2 teaspoons of apple cider along with a tablespoon of honey into a glass of lukewarm water. This combination removes toxins from your body and reduces your belly fat.   Consume it early morning to regulate your blood pressure and body mass index. If the apple cider is not available, don’t worry. You can mix a teaspoon of lemon juice with an equivalent amount of honey in a glass of lukewarm water. Consume it for 3 weeks and measure the result once again.

Honey and Onion Juice:

Onion is well-known for its anti-bacterial properties. It also includes ‘flavonol quercetin’, which is a group of flavonoids known to reverse cholesterol. Mix a tablespoon of honey with the same quantity of onion juice. Consume this mixture for a week and evaluate your blood pressure after a week. You can continue it for more than a week, if needed.

Garlic with Buttermilk:

Garlic contains a great ingredient, namely allicin, which is known for its anti-bacterial properties.  It lowers lipids and opens blood clotting from your blood vessels.  Garlic is known to reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) and increase good cholesterol (HDL). In order to control hypertension, you can consume raw garlic as well.

Vitamin C Intake:

Consuming ample amount of vitamin C in your diet is known to reverse the bad cholesterol from your body. Once, the blood flows well in your body, its pressure is controlled automatically. Vitamin C is found in Indian gooseberry, orange, kiwi, papaya, watermelon, lemon, etc.

Carrot Juice:

A glass of carrot juice mixed with tomato, Indian gooseberry, beetroot and lemon reduces high blood pressure magically. Carrot is high in vitamin A and beetroot is known for having potassium and magnesium. Drinking this juice for a month will certainly make you contended with their innumerable boons.
