Let’s Understand What is Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is a pressure made by your heart to circulate the blood in your body’s large arteries. We all know that heart is a major organ of our body and it maintains the pressure of blood. In order to keep our organs healthy by supplying them with the adequate oxygen, maintaining the apt blood pressure is mandatory.
Types of Blood Pressure:
Blood pressure has two parameters, which may vary per patient, their geographic locations, diet or lifestyle. Here are the types of blood pressure:
Systolic Blood Pressure (High Blood Pressure):
It is also known as top level or high blood pressure. Let’s understand systolic blood pressure. We all know that our heart squeezes and pushes blood via arteries while beating, and supply to the entire body. This pressure of blood on our blood vessels is known as systolic blood pressure. The ideal blood pressure needs to be 120. Exceeding this number can be an alarming situation, which may point to some issue in your body. But, don’t worry! It can be reversed through some changes in respect to diet and lifestyle.
Diastolic Blood Pressure (Lower Blood Pressure):
It is the second parameter to read blood pressure. It is also known as lower blood pressure or bottom blood pressure. Diastolic blood pressure represents the pressure of blood when your heart rests between the beats. During this time, our heart gathers blood to provide us with the required oxygen. Want to know the normal diastolic blood pressure? Well! The normal number of bottom blood (lower blood pressure) pressure is 80.
The ideal combination of high/low blood pressure should be 120/80.
